I have made a recipe similar to this ane for several years. One of my best recipes. I use existent maple syrup instead of white sugar in the mashed sweet potatoes and don't use flour in the topping. You may want to double the topping. Very yummy. Tastes great warmed up merely doesn't await equally pretty. Y'all tin can make it alee of time but keep the topping split until ready to bake.

I noticed this receipe and just had to comment. It has been in our family for years. We ever take it during the holidays and even our daughters in-laws ask her to bring it. The just difference I noticed is that I ordinarily use canned sweetness potatoes (one big and 1 minor) this mode it is always on hand. Also, I place the pecans on top first and then add the flour, brown sugar mixture on top. I melt the margarine and drizzle on top of this mixture. Does not need to completely cover as it will catamenia over areas not covered as it cooks. It is a receipe that I have had for about thirty years from my female parent-in-law and now my daughter makes it also for her in-laws. It is slap-up!!!!

This is a smashing recipe, except for the fact that the directions are not ready upwardly to correctly to properly make this item right. Such equally the butter, one part you melt information technology, the other part you don't, but information technology doesn't state that in the recipe on which.

Everyone loved this dish at my Christmas dinner. Information technology was not too sweetness had just the right texture. I roasted the potatoes in the oven (instead of humid; it'south easier and they are more flavorful) and made 1 1/2 times the topping. Be sure to employ a shallow blistering dish as it will take much longer to bake if yous don't. Great recipe and Thanks!

My family has the traditional Italian Christmas and so I thought I throw the family off and bring this goulash. My father is a large major food critic in our family unit and he loved it. My mom is a sweet tater lover and will basically eat them just apparently baked. My family never actually had this before so it was not bad new addition. Since we have American additions to our family unit through marriage we had to tweak our Christmas dinner. This recipe is awesome & the kids dear it! I am a new lover of sweet potatoes & I wanted to endeavour to brand a casserole and so I did this receipe. It turned out great still the pecan streusal was way too much then next time I call back I will one-half it and utilize information technology sparingly, I also think this would just be great with the marshmallows on top or even by itself. Simply the marshmallows is always good presentation. I too used a one-half cup of sugar which was plenty of saccharide for it and I used a tad bit more of vanilla. I will definitely use this recipe over and over over again. The sweet white potato part was creamy, perfectly sweetened with the one-half cup of sugar and it was fluffy and light. Thanks for sharing this awesome recipe!!!!
11/03/2006
Used canned sweetness potatoes and reduced the corporeality of white carbohydrate to compensate for the syrup. Loved the crunchy topping.
12/27/2004
This is easy to brand and a huge holiday striking! In fact I made it Christmas morning this twelvemonth and information technology took most 20 minutes. I utilize half of the white and half of the brown sugar the recipe calls for and it is sweetness enough for us. The simply problem I have is estimating how many potatoes is equal to 4 1/two cups. I purchase five-7 sweet potatoes depending on size and am commonly in the 4 ane/two -5 1/2 cup range in the end. I highly recommend giving this one a endeavour!
02/14/2007
I will admit it here...and to no ane else! This was and so amazing that I ate simply the leftovers for my lunch and dinner for two days direct until it was all gone! Whew, now I feel improve...

Updated Review - I made these last nighttime for a work potluck. Didnt have the fourth dimension to bake the sweet potatoes, so I used canned. Anybody is raving nigh the dish! So if y'all're crunched for time...Canned works!!! If youre baking your sweet potatoes - 1 ane/2 hr at 350 degrees..wrapped in heavy duty foil!! Baking retains the flavor and the skins come off and so easily! I modified the recipe a picayune: 4 cups of mashed sweet potatoes (iv large yams ive establish = about 4 cups) (If you're using canned - 2 29oz cans + one smaller tin (I believe its 16oz?), 1/iii cup of condensed milk, 2 eggs beaten, three/iv cup of saccharide, 1/four tsp nutmeg, 1/4 tsp ground cloves, 1 tsp vanilla, and 1 tsp cinnamon. The used the same ingredients and ratios for the topping. Baked in 2 pyrex blistering dishes at 400 degrees for thirty mins. SUPER TASTY!! :)
12/20/2000
I institute this recipe looking to break the traditional marshmallow/sweet potato combo. I pulled this off Thanksgiving.com and WOW, it was a huge striking. My married man'southward family couldn't get enough! My sis-in-law asked me for the recipe and is making it this yr as a side with Christmas dinner. MAKE It WITH FRESH Sweet POTATOES ONLY! Information technology's groovy.

I have had this recipe for years and everyone is always impressed with this dish. The one affair that I recollect makes a big difference in texture is to utilize a food processor when mixing the sweet potatoes with butter, milk, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Eddy whole unpeeled sweet potatoes for about 45 minutes. Drain, absurd, and then peel off the skins. Put these potatoes in a food processor with the other ingredents and blend until very smooth and well combined. You will accept to do this in two separate batches (dividing other ingredients equally between the 2 batches) and stir them together when all is candy. Will make this casserole even better, fluffier, and smoother. A definate winner!
11/22/2010
This recipe is nigh identical to the one I have been making for near fifteen years. Information technology is the just sweet potato dish I will eat. My recipe varies slightly in that information technology uses 32 oz canned-drained yams, has one/ii cup white carbohydrate (and so you can successfully reduce that) and many years agone I began eliminating the butter from the sugariness potatoes and we actually like information technology much meliorate, its fluffy and succulent that way (and less calories). You MUST notwithstanding accept the butter in the topping. I likewise broil for 45 minutes considering nosotros like it nice and bubbly. This is the all-time sweet potatoes you'll ever have, the topping is exceptional and it is not Thanksgiving without this dish information technology is a family tradition.
12/20/2008
With all the great reviews, I had to try this. Adjusted the servings to 2 and the measurements automatically adjusts. I made this modest serving to test the recipe. I used ane/2 the sugars (white/brown), Y'all can try more - pour the sugar slowly so you lot tin can taste to sweeten as you like. I doubled the vanilla excerpt, added the 1-teaspoon cinnamon, and (didn't take nutmeg to add If I did I'd include information technology), 1-Tablespoon dark syrup. I baked ane big yam about ane hr. and the peel off was easy. Followed directions as written, used elec. mixture to combine the yam and other mixtures. Of import: The white sugar is for potato mixture; the brown sugar is for the topping. Information technology doesn't specify this in the recipe. The topping is the other half of listed ingredients of recipe. For the topping, I doubled the nuts. Used walnuts, finely chopped (would have preferred pecans if I had them). As well followed JOAN Play a joke on's advice on the topping – "1) place the pecans on top start then 2) add the flour, brown sugar mixture on top. 3) Melt the butter/margarine and drizzle on top of this mixture. Does not demand to completely cover, as information technology will menstruation over areas not covered as it cooks." Due to this small serving for 2, I used a regular round cake-baking pan, which was perfect. RESULTS: Baked all for 30 minutes. Topping came out perfect and crunchy, sweetness was fine. Not too sweet, not too bland. Sugariness yam came out light, fluffy. Divinely delicious and this little baked serving is all for me!

I made this for Thanksgiving dinner and it got rave reviews from everyone. I told my husband, who doesn't similar sweet potatoes, that he had to endeavor information technology because someone else posted near her married man eating iii helpings even though he didn't similar sugariness potatoes either. Sure enough, he loved information technology! I did make a few changes: I used i/2 cup brownish carbohydrate in identify of the 1 cup white carbohydrate, margarine instead of butter and yams because sweet potatoes are hard to come by around here. I have already been requested to bring this dish to my in-laws' for Christmas dinner, and my husband told me I could make information technology once a week at our business firm.
x/29/2006
I took the communication of other people and added the sugar slowly to the sweet potato mixture, tasting each time. I concluded up adding much less than the recipe called for, and adding less saccharide balanced out the super-sweet topping. People at the party were asking me for the recipe all night!
04/07/2006
My extended family always joins usa for Easter dinner, and this is always on my tabular array! I have been using this recipe for years, and take tweaked it just a chip. I use heavy cream instead of milk for a richer consistency. I also cut the white sugar to one/2 cup and upwardly the vanilla to 1 tsp. I also like to place a few pecan halves on summit of the pecan mixture for a pretty presentation. I have likewise made this dish with a lower fatty content by substituting light margarine for the butter, 2% milk for the milk or cream and used iv egg whites instead of 2 whole eggs. Non as rich and nonetheless delicious for those times when I'm feeling more health conscious. I have read a few reviews that added mini marshmallows. May try that this year!
10/15/2009
Yummy! This is definitely a keeper. Per others' comments, I used less saccharide (iii/4 cup) and more vanilla (1 tsp total). Doubling the topping is a must! I besides added some nutmeg and cinnamon. This was my first time making a sweet potato goulash and information technology was a HUGE hit with all my guests.
07/21/2007
This was the best sugariness potatoes I have ever made. I tripled the recipe for a baby shower and the entire pan was gone. I roasted the potatoes the nighttime earlier in the oven at 400 degrees for virtually an hr. In the morning, I peeled them and it was so easy. I will make this casserole every year for the holidays.
11/17/2010
I plant this recipie on allrecpies ii years agone, and made it for a Thanksgiving dinner, and information technology turned out great! Everybody seemed to love it. Never take any leftovers. Now I make information technology every year for Thanksgiving & Christmas.
12/22/2006
Admittedly peachy! Tweak information technology if you want, but it's really wonderful as is. Ideas: adding fall spices to the brown sugar mix, using heavy foam instead of milk, or using all brown sugar and no white carbohydrate. Simply you really don't demand to change a thing. Ane note: cool your sweet potatoes prior to calculation the eggs. It is possible to slightly melt the eggs in super hot sugariness potatoes, and that would not be expert (think $.25 of scrambled eggs in your casserole--ick!).
eleven/29/2002
I tried this dish on yesterday for my Thanksgiving feast and it was absolutely wonderful and very tasteful. But I did add 1/2 of teaspoon of cinnamon and nutmeg because sweet potatoes just doesn't seem correct without. But anyway two-thumbs up for this recipe.
xi/nineteen/2006
This is delicious! I would make a little less topping next time. Also, I followed the advice of some other reviewers and substituted 1/2 cup brown sugar for the 1 cup white carbohydrate, and so added a little white sugar after tasting it. With the topping it is plenty sweet. I also added a tsp of nutmeg and a tsp of cinnamon. Nifty recipe!
11/24/2002
We just celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday and I last minute tried this recipe. Wow! It was a hit. The pecan topping is wonderful. Being a diabetic I had a sense of taste, and I was in heaven. I made this dish 5 hours before dinner and 30 minutes before dinner, I reheated this at 350 for 30 minutes covered with foil, the last five minutes I took the foil off to go the crunchiness. Yumm. This volition exist my almanac dish. Many thanks.:-)
11/19/2007
The same recipe my aunt uses who always gets asked to bring her casserole to Thanksgiving get to gethers. She uses four large cans of sweetness potatos instead of fresh and oh, it is perfect!
11/07/2007
I fabricated this last twelvemonth for Christmas dinner and everyone liked information technology. Information technology'south okay to use canned potatoes. Don't waste product your time boiling sweet potatoes.
01/19/2011
I made this for Thanksgiving terminal year; I HATE the sweet potato/yam casseroles with marshmallows, so I was excited to attempt this i...sooooo glad I did! It was succulent, and every one of my 16 guests gobbled it upward. I followed the recipe exactly, and baked my sugariness potatoes in the oven for about an 60 minutes and a half earlier mashing them. I made the topping and mashed the potatoes a day ahead of time, and then but assembled everything and broiled right earlier dinner. Succulent!!!
04/22/2006
Talk about some skilful stuff!!! This is more like dessert than a side dish. Everyone that tried it Really liked it, including the sugariness potato haters.
12/30/2001
this recipe is first-class!!! it'south and then proficient that my mother in law has asked me to bring it for every family gathering since Thanksgiving!!! I did reduce the white carbohydrate to 1/3 cup, and everyone (kids included) loves it!!
02/12/2011
Everybody loved these and asked for the recipe.
11/22/2010
I made this last infinitesimal for a weekend dinner and it was amazing. It was a overnice change from the traditional sweet potatoes with marshmallows you lot usually encounter. Fifty-fifty the kids who devious away from sweet murphy'southward loved information technology. I volition definitely make this over again and information technology was very easy to make.
11/17/2010
Excellent recipe! I used fresh sugariness potatoes (ii large ones will yield 4 1/4 cups when mashed) and reduced the sugar a flake. As suggested in some other review, I upped the vanilla to a whole teaspoon, and added 1/two teaspoon each of nutmeg, cinnamon, and table salt. Absolutely delicious!
04/16/2006
Just fixed this for Easter dinner. I am a major sweet spud fan and this is by far the absolute best I've ever tasted. Side by side time I'll cut the sugar to 1/2 cup. It will be sweet enough I'm certain. The crumb topping is fabulous. Pecans definitely set his off nicely.Everyone and I mean everyone came back for seconds on this 1. I doubled the recipe. Thank goodness there are some leftovers!
07/26/2006
I've been using this recipe for years but I add cinnamon, nutmeg & cloves. It's fantabulous & I'm the official sweetness irish potato "bringer" to all the family meals.
09/09/2007
This was soooo good! My 2 yr old and mom were especially crazy nigh this casserole. What's funny is that I actually used canned sweetness potatoes (2 29oz cans). Also, instead of pecans, I added marshmallows to the elevation. Yummy!
04/12/2006
I have absolutely never tasted sweet potatoes this delicious in my life. I fabricated this recipe for Christmas and my family unit is at present enervating I make information technology again for Easter. If you even remotely like sweet potatoes you take to try this recipe. I made everything according to the recipe (I did employ cookie nuts - the finely chopped nuts, not just standard chopped nuts considering they're easier for children and elderly to eat) and it's incredibly easy, and simply amazingly delicous!
ten/30/2010
I similar the all-time of both worlds (fun, notwithstanding sophisticated) so I went ahead and made this recipe w/both marshmallow and carbohydrate crumb topping... information technology was perfect. I too followed the communication of many on here: increased vanilla to 1tsp & added 1/2 tsp of nutmeg & salt, used evap. milk & all brown sugar and (because I am a busy mom of 4) used 2-40oz cans of sweet potatoes... one of these days I will brand this w/the real deal. I have made this westward/pecans & without... I adopt without (which suprises me, I normally dearest them). I think in the future I will attempt to add oatmeal to the crumb topping. This recipe is ever a hit!
11/01/2008
This has been a "must have" dish at my holiday dinners for many years. I usually brand 1.5x the topping. This recipe says to bake it for 25 minutes, I usually bake it more than like xl. I put it in the oven without the topping for about 20 minutes, then have it out, add the topping and broil for about another xx minutes.
02/01/2011
This is the best sweet casserole I take ever had! A few things I had to change... I ran out of brownish sugar... so I but didn't make the topping... and I only used 1/2 cup of pecans and mixed those all together with the casserole earlier I put it in the oven. My husband tried it and he said they were astonishing and he forbids me trying the topping next fourth dimension! The amount of pecans I used was perfect... and the casserole tasted amazing!
12/22/2010
I made this concluding dark for a Christmas Party at my job and they ate it up!!! It was so good! The only changes I made were to apply canned yams (2 large cans) and sweetened condensed milk. Everything else remained the same and it was splendid!!!! I will go on to brand this dish
12/10/2001
This is a miracle worker! I've never liked sweetness potatoes (nor has my father). Made these and LOVED them, they are so rich and the topping is heavenly. No more canned potatoes for this group. Can't say enough. I used v sweet potatoes, non yams. Thanks for the keeper!
02/11/2011
My husband and I are on a special nutrition, so I didn't add the topping and used Splenda instead of the sugar and it was withal succulent. I used most 1 tablespoon of molasses to give it a brown sugar season. I guess the butter flavor (which I probably should have left out or at least have decreased only didn't) came through and made this dish just scrumptious even without the topping. Will definitely make again--non likewise oft because of the calories, simply mayhap for the holidays--with the topping. Oh diet, I must not betray thee (too often).
06/25/2006
Even "non-sweet potato" people will eat this wonderful dish. Sweet enough to save for desert.
01/23/2011
Amazing. I baked fresh sugariness potatoes and used those. I halved the amount of carbohydrate and used panela (whole cane sugar) instead. It gave it a warmer gustation. I fabricated this for a party I had this Christmas and at that place was none left over!
02/23/2011
Child-approved!
01/20/2011
This was and so sweet and tasty. My husband is begging me to brand more!
05/xix/2007
YUMMY, easy to make! Bank check out my picture :)
12/10/2001
This was and then yummy, everyone asked for the recipe. For the topping I used walnuts instead of pecans, and covered it with foil for office of the cooking time so that the topping didn't get burned. Definitely all thumbs up over here!
12/xiv/2002
This is nifty, but I used 1/iii loving cup flour, 1/iii loving cup brownish sugar, ane/three cupchopped pecans, i/three cup coconut, & one/2 cup melted butter for topping.
11/12/2007
Succulent. I've made this twice now and will be making again this Thanksgiving. Just variation was that I decreased the white sugar to 1/2C. Nosotros found it too sweetness for our taste with 1C carbohydrate.
12/fourteen/2000
We had this at our Thanksgiving gahtering of 25 people, Everyone went back for 2nds & 3rds and begged for the recipe and whatever lefftoversrs to take home. yummy. Even some of our finicky children eaters loved it.
11/22/2010
HOLY SMOKES THIS WAS DELICIOUS!! I followed the recipe exactly and the result was Succulent! We could not stop eating information technology. Subsequently cleaning our plates my beau and I had several actress heaping fork-fulls right out of the baking-dish. What a GREAT dish, this would exist ideal at Thanksgiving! Cheers!!!
04/09/2007
This was WAY too sweet for a side dish, in my stance. It made the dessert sense of taste bland and boring. Information technology tasted like a cantankerous between sweetness irish potato pie and pecan pie. Actually, I think the sweetness potato mixture was sweeter than the pie I ordinarily brand. It was incredibly yummy of course, only if I brand this again, I would definitely cut down the white saccharide to a 1/2 cup. Nosotros happen to love sweets so we couldn't finish eating information technology but two cups of sugar is a LOT for a side dish.
05/08/2011
I cut sugar past one-half and this still tasted nifty.
04/17/2006
The potato function of this dish was very good, notwithstanding, I could not become the topping to "crumble." It still was a proficient standard sweetness potato casserole dish.
04/xiii/2011
This is a bang-up recipe! I used sweet potatoes and yams for the 4 1/2 cups. The taste was corking and it wasn't also sugariness. I did make a double batch for the topping and used the evaporated milk instead. I highly recommend this for thanksgiving or any big meal you plan on making! Delicious!
11/22/2010
I've used this recipe for years. I do notice a whole stick to be a little bit much butter to put in the casserole, so I cut that dorsum by half. I besides used the baked potato function on the microwave to melt my potatoes and so brew every bit I would a mashed spud. I also find the evaporated milk to exist a smashing modify. I besides don't call up that 25 minutes is long plenty in the oven. That'south what my original recipe says too and I just notice it is usually too short to go the centre ready. My oven cooks fast usually, and this takes at to the lowest degree 50 minutes if not an hour. Only be aware of that the cooking time may be different and get it going with enough of fourth dimension, especially since information technology's easy to keep warm once it's done. Also fabulous reheated...as if you'll have leftovers!
12/26/2006
I have fabricated this recipe many times now, often during the holiday season. I'yard giving it only 4 stars though considering I find it besides sweet in its literal incarnation. I usually put in 1/3 loving cup light brown sugar instead of 1 loving cup white saccharide, and add 1 tsp vanilla instead of i/2 tsp. I besides alter the limerick of the streusel topping to two/three low-cal brownish sugar, 1/three flour (keeping the butter and pecan the same). I notice this is the perfect sweetness for myself and for guests I have served information technology to. Some people who like it less sweet tin avoid the streusel topping and eat the milder sugariness white potato cream. Guests usually comment on the "je ne sais quoi" quality of the goulash (it'south the vanilla).
07/sixteen/2011
I read the other reviews and my changes were to just use brown carbohydrate, and I cut the butter/sugar combo that mixes in with the potatoes in half
12/22/2002
If you are a sweet, sweetness irish potato fan, yous'll probably love information technology. Everyone raved most it, simply it was too sweetness for me. The topping was similar candy.
11/29/2006
DELICIOUS! I did cutting downward on the white sugar and only put in a 1/2 loving cup and that was sweet enough. I would even say you could get away with i/3 cup but you can taste it as you mix it in either way. I didn't have the entire amt of pecan and so I added walnuts, which worked simply I prefer the pecans in this recipe. This volition exist a Thanksgiving staple!
04/16/2006
Very overnice side dish that my family unit loved. I halved the sugar and practise to allergies, I used toasted walnuts in lieu of the pecans. Cheers and then much Suzanne!
10/09/2007
This is so good, it tasts almost exactly like my moms. Definantly a keeper. Like BARBARALB, I used evaporated milk and added cinnamon and nutmeg. I also used baked sweet potatoes.
12/26/2005
Moist, fluffy and yummy. HINT: Taste your sweetness potatoes later on mashing and suit added sugar accordingly. I used less than 1/two cup. Baked information technology in a two.v qt. casserole dish and used half the topping. This is now a Christmas tradition in our home.
01/fourteen/2003
Style too sweet! I made this, following the recipie exactly, and we found it to be much also sweet. I will brand this over again because I think I can adjust information technology, simply will cut the topping to one/4 of the recipie, and cut the saccharide mixed into the potatos by at least half.
07/08/2011
FANSTASTIC! I volition never make them with marshmallows again. MMMMM! Anybody loved them.
08/08/2006
These were the All-time sugariness potatos I have always eaten - and I hate sweetness potatos. I accidentally used brown sugar in the potato mixture, but only half a cup and it turned out perfect. Will definitely be saving this one!
05/05/2011
Did not use any basics, but kept everything else the same. This is soooo proficient.
01/10/2011
This is good enough to be a dessert.
12/25/2010
Followed the recipie. I thought it was wonderful. My sis said the topping was a bit sweet, merely I similar things on the sweetness side. You volition not be disapointed.
12/04/2005
I made this dish over again this Thanksgiving, and once over again information technology was outstanding. Anybody was impressed and thought information technology was the all-time dish there. Even my sister, who is the pickiest eater every enjoyed it. I used mashed sweet potatoes that I made myself instead of from the can.
12/21/2010
Yum!!! Made the recipe exactly as posted and information technology was wonderful. The married man who thinks the merely style to swallow sweet potatoes is baked with butter absolutely loved these. Will make once more very soon!
xi/18/2007
This recipe is fantastic! I did make a couple of changes though: I baked my potatoes (1 hr @ 375) instead of boiling (I attempt to avoid humid veggies because you lose a lot of nutrients that style) and I added cinnamon and nutmeg to the white potato mixture. I will probably end up making this for our dessert on thanksgiving.
eleven/21/2006
The finest sweet potato casserole I have ever tried - this is the best!
11/sixteen/2006
it'south hard to tell how much sweet potatoes 4 cups is when you peel and boil them. i used 4 large ones. i besides used heavy cream instead of milk only because i thought that'south what the recipe called for (didn't notice until just now information technology was supposed to be milk). als0, i only dirtied the pot and the final dish. i mashed and mixed everything into the original pot that i boiled the sweet potatoes in. i also tripled the topping as one person suggested, but this was WAY likewise much; i have tons left over - i think the original recipe toppoing amount would accept been fine. everyone loved this! another keeper!
xi/05/2005
I have used this recipe for 3 years and should have put my review in then. "Considering" this is the all-time sweet potato recipe ever! It has been a request every year. I love the topping. This is a family tradition! thanks!
01/11/2005
This recipe was a striking with all my friends. Even the ones who don't usually consume or similar sugariness potatoes. The just thing I inverse about it was the fact that I didn't desire to take the time to peel, cook and brew the pots. So I used canned. 2 xl oz. to be exact. It saved so much time and every bit far every bit everyone thought they were fresh. I also left the pecans kinda big so those who didn't like nuts could selection them off. Thanks then much for sharing!!
04/21/2011
First-class! I made it for a function at school and had to make a bunch of copies for everyone.
01/xi/2011
This was creamy and crunchy and succulent! The topping definitely makes this dish!
11/20/2005
This recipe has become a tradition at family unit gatherings. While it is very good as originally written, I add a teaspoon of cinnamon and ane/2 teaspoon of nutmeg to the sweet potato mixture to spice it up but a bit.
06/01/2011
Absolutely succulent!
12/19/2010
This could've almost been dessert! Wonderful dish. I made a few changes. I substituted 3/iv loving cup of pure maple syrup in identify of the 1 cup of white carbohydrate. I baked in an 8x8 casserole dish and baked for nearly 35 minutes. The topping was perfect and crunchy!
eleven/21/2009
Very fluffy and very sweet. I used half-and-one-half instead of milk for extra richness. We honey it!
11/19/2007
I have been making this recipe for five years now (ever since it was offset on allrecipes). People don't merely request information technology at Thanksgiving and Christmas, they demand it! 1 vacation I did not make it and everyone was very upset. I highly recommend this recipe, merely one time you lot make it yous will never exist able to bring anything else to vacation functions :)
12/13/2006
Oh my, this was delicious! I cut the sugar to 1/2 cup, only other than that, I kept all the ingredients the same. I made sure to chop the pecans very finely and the topping turned out perfectly!
05/09/2011
Very like shooting fish in a barrel , Very good ...and no leftovers ! Thanks !
01/x/2011
Made the recipe for the family and there was company too. They all totally loved it!! Because almost of them never actually ate sweet potato. The recipe is really delicious... and yes... do put half the sugar required considering it will taste awesome regardless!
07/07/2006
very good
05/28/2008
I really liked this receipe. I did make a few adjustments. In my mix I added: i/2 tsp lemon extract i tsp vanilla extract (instead of i/2 tsp to fifty-fifty out the flavors) ane/ii nutmeg 1 tsp cinnamon 2 tbs all purpose flour (to add some consistency) 1/3 cup of evaporated milk (not regular) 1 one/ii cup of chopped pecans For me with the slight adjustments, this dish came out delicious.
02/04/2012
Yous volition Love this!
09/18/2007
I loved this recipe ~ so unproblematic and tasty! I didn't have pecans so I had to leave those out. I did cheat and use canned potatoes and my only proposition is if you go that road that you lot be careful that your mixture is thick enough ~ mine was a tiny bit too thin. I'll definetly use this recipe again & again.
01/01/2012
Wow I didn't expect his to be so Succulent.
12/25/2010
